Gaza death toll continues to rise amid Israeli ceasefire violations

The Palestinian Health Ministry in the Gaza Strip has announced that the number of martyrs in the besieged area has surpassed 71,400.

The ministry also declared that more than 171,300 Palestinians have been injured since Israel launched war on Gaza on October 7, 2023.

It added that Israeli attacks on Gaza have left over 440 martyrs and 1,240 wounded since the beginning of the ceasefire in October 2025. Palestinians recovered corpses of nearly 700 martyrs from under the rubble during the same period.

Israel started the war on Gaza with the purported aim of defeating Hamas and returning its captives from the strip, but the regime failed to achieve both objectives and was forced to reach an internationally mediated agreement with the movement to swap prisoners.

It is worth mentioning that the Israeli regime carried out the aggression backed by the United States, which led to the destruction of 90% of Gaza infrastructures. The United Nations estimated the costs of the reconstruction in Gaza at 70 billion dollars.
